A lot of friends and co-workers have gone through divorce this year. Upon reflecting it makes me wonder if the internet is to blame. The tech age. As an example I have a friend that liked guns so much that he had to hide his purchases from his wife (no kids). Well guns are a very expensive hobby (like golf) so… anyway he finally had enough and divorced her because of this. Sounds silly but its true. He wanted to spend his $ on what he wanted and she would not let him so he filed… that’s one non-tech example.
Now out of my 8 close friends (we are in our 30s) 6 of them are now divorced. And the sad thing is most of them have little kids. Reasons range from affairs to financial disagreements. Example would be the wife met someone online (Facebook) and started to secretly meet, to another wife that friended her personal trainer at the gym and well…goes both ways, the guys also cheated or met up with younger girls online or maybe friended a co-worker and "started working late"…
At work it just seems like there are a lot of "younger" people divorcing. Some have 8mo olds while others have no kids (thank god) and it either has to do with cheating or money.
Divorce seems like something as easy as returning something at the mall and its popular to have affairs and keep secrets. Is this because of the tech age???? I mean the affairs I hear about are like things out of a movie and its just not men, the women engage in this a lot also now a days but maybe for different reasons.
I can’t imagine a "mother" with a toddler having an affair (this is common!) it seems things are different today…

I am planning this in four books so please answer separately for each book. And note Derek (main character) may seem perfect but he is me with a different name, so please don’t be too disrespectful unless it is reasonable criticism
Book 1: Derek Shnell is the starting quarterback for the high school freshman football team, freshman wrestling captain, and number 2 for varsity golf, all with a 4.0 and a dream of going to Stanford to play college ball. But when hundreds of children and teenagers go missing around the country, his parents crack down on his life. He thinks nothing of it until his mom goes out of town and his dad finally gets a job interview. He gets knocked out while walking home after football practice and wakes up in a large metal room filled with bunk beds with kids of all ages from 10 to 16. It turns out that they are the missing kids from around the country and they are no longer known as by their normal names, but now as "candidate number". Derek becomes Candidate 113 and is put in a group with others his age. Soon they are put through training tougher than ever imagined, the trainers stopping only to clean up the bodies of those that couldn’t go on. Soon the training seems to get easier but they are only getting used to it. Then doctors and scientists become present, but no one see’s the same again another day. The are put through multitude of tests and then injected fluids called ‘augments’. These made them faster, stronger, quicker reflexes, and much more. Then being put through military training they shoot and become the best soldiers man has ever seen. But when Derek meets someone he knows inside the complex, hell is revealed. The candidates have been put into cyro sleep ever since the first day the doctors arrived. They havent been there for 3 years but for 47 years. Derek and his group make plans to escape. They escape but with the loss of all the others that joined them in the middle of the plan. At the end they go their separate ways to try and fit back into a normal life.
Book 2: Derek finds a family that knew his friend from the complex and lives with him. He goes to school and quickly catches up with school. He keeps bugging his new family to let him try out for football but they say it will give him away and that if he gets to much attention he will be found. He listens and sits in the stands at the tryouts watching the quarterbacks warm up until a stray punt goes into the bleachers. He throws it back with perfectly and whispers go around through the groups that are also at the tryouts. The coach offered him a chance at trying out. He talks to his new family and they agree, but he cant do any other sport. He goes to the tryout and beats out all the other players due to his augmentation. He takes the starting quarterback and strong safety positions. At the first game he breaks a kids back after losing control of strength and hitting way to hard. At the next practice people he has never seen before start to show up and watch him. And when they show up at the game, Derek fakes an injury and leaves just before halftime. The family knows whats happening and take him home and gives the stuff he needs. He goes on the run and finds his old group and they go into hiding together. Finally they are caught and are brought back to the complex where they are given final tests and they find out they are being sold to a secret group backed by american government to bring the world under one power. They go out and attack third world countries like ordered. Finally after two years the go back into the complex for a final cyro sleep.
Book 3: He wakes up from the cyro sleep to find out that the world had become ruins. He leaves the complex (now a ruined mess with him the only one inside at that point) and goes to try and survive in the new world. He faces challenges and finds out that his old group and other people from the complex banned together to form a rugged village to survive together. He’s lives nicely there until the secret group he once worked for came back alive and the super soldier he once was started attacking the world for a chance to rebuild.
Book 4: Derek goes back to his teachings and gets an army from around the world of all the people that have been augmented. His travels puts him in many battles with the super soldiers and ends with an attack on their command that leaves both sides with many deaths, one of them including Derek.
